Benjamin Moore, the 2006 Libensky´ Award recipient, is a pioneer in the American studio glass art movement and a key player in establishing Seattle as a center for contemporary glass. He was first introduced to glass at the California College of the Arts while studying under Marvin Lipofsky and went on to pursue his M.F.A. degree at Rhode Island School of Design. From 1974 to 1987, he was Pilchuck`s creative and educational director.
